TOWN OF CHAPEL HILL
The Town of Chapel Hill maintains an excellent website full of information about operations, events, and, especially about the processes involved in building and renovating a home. There are a number of helpful maps and documents available through the Planning Department. These include the Land Use Management Ordinance, which contains necessary zoning compliance information, and the Zoning Maps for the Town. Visit the Historical Districts and the National Register Districts if you are interested in the historical development of the Town. And, of course, Chapel Hill is the home of The University of North Carolina (UNC), and the 2005 NCAA National Champion Tarheels!
ORANGE COUNTY
Chapel Hill is located within Orange County, North Carolina. The County maintains an excellent GIS web site that enables one to access information and maps of all properties in the County, as well as owners, tax assessments, and arial photographs of each property.
CHATHAM COUNTY
